This and That, Summer 2019!!!

Life has been getting busier. Having two kids who are 4 and under, life is more juggled. They need our constant attention, care and love. Though I barely get any time for myself or get any time to spend with Krishna, I am cherishing each moment. I feel my life filled with their bonding, mischiefs, tantrums and funniness. Makes you realize life is bitter-sweet.

Akshar had his first training camps this summer. It started with T ball, followed by Swimming and Skating classes. This Pre-Ker is enjoying all those classes though his concentration, focus is still developing. I was amazed by the coach’s patience and zeal to train these little kids (4-6 year olds). It is fun to watch these little kids as they try to grasp the basics of each class and then try to repeat the newly acquired skills. Through the process they try to cheer, pick and congratulate each other. I noticed Akshar started moving away from the “Stranger-Danger” zone to “Comfort/Friendly” zone this year. He started making new friends with other kids in these classes (Although “Krish” in his Pre-k2 class is still his best friend for now). His speech is still evolving but its incredible how other kids can perfectly follow him. Guess its “Kids Language”.

His bonding with little brother is work in progress. And there is a constant rift that goes with both brothers about sharing toys. What amazed me is Akshar can also be a protective big brother when situation demands. Couple of weeks back when we are visiting our friends house to celebrate a birthday, there was fight on sharing toys between the little Saharsh and another kid of his age. What can you expect when there are bunch of little kids. At the end other kid was able to grab the toy out of Saharsh’s hand. Realizing he lost the most precious item from his hand, Saharsh started crying. I was observing this from a little distance making sure kids are safe and at the same time thinking they can learn this to resolve by themselves. Well what surprised me is the aftermath of the incident. Akshar was standing next to his brother as the toy slipped out of his hand. Realizing his little brother’s pain Akshar jumped in to his defense and dragging the toy from other kid’s hand. Realizing the situation is out of control, adults got involved to prevent further damage. But, I was astounded on his protectiveness to guard his little brother. Way to go Big Bro!!!!
